Unfiltered Story #245952

I was shopping with my family at a popular candy store when I was a fairly young teen. A woman who worked there approached us with a basket of individually wrapped candies and a big cheerful smile.

Worker: Hi there! *extends candy basket towards us* How would you guys like to try a free sample?

I said yes and began reaching into the basket that was inches from me when *WHAP* the woman smacks my hand roughly with a pair of tongs that I hadn’t seen until then.

Worker: EX-CUUUSEE ME! You don’t just put your dirty hands in there! Did you never learn manners!?

Needless to say I just walked out and waited for my family to finish shopping.
