An irate man approaches me at our customer service desk, approaching briskly from the concessions counter.
Man: I’ve been waiting an HOUR for my hot dog!
Me: May I see your receipt sir?
He grumbles and gets the receipt from his girlfriend who is still standing at concessions. He shoves it into my hand.
I take one look at the receipt and smile broadly at him.
Me: Sir, according to the time stamp on your receipt, it’s been less than three minutes.
He storms off, muttering about how I should’ve given him a free hot dog. No, bro, food just takes more than 30 seconds to cook. Especially when you’re on line with 40 other people.
