Unfiltered Story #245928
*I work for a retail company and usually have middle of the week off. Because of this, and the fact that I live about 20 minutes away, I will often take lunch to my mom who works for my old high school and doesn’t get to leave. The downside is that she has lunch at like 10:30 in the morning. I’ve gone to a local fast food Mexican restaurant this time.*
Me: Can I get the #2, with chili instead of the tots?
Cashier: Did you want a cup or a bowl for the chili?
Me: *still half asleep because it’s early and only half paying attention* What’s the difference?
Cashier: Um…I think the bowl is bigger?
Me: Um, let’s just go with the cup.
*I finish my order and pay. I didn’t realize what I’d done until I got back and I’m relating the story to my mom*
Me: It makes me wonder if she doesn’t know the menu which might not be the best thing
Mom: Or she was trying to figure out if you were crazy
Me: Or that
