Unfiltered Story #245442
True story:
After a series of interviews with several staff members (which at least proved to be standard practice for this firm) I somewhat reluctantly accepted a job with a large firm. The day I mustered in, this firm couldn’t come up with an HR person to indoctrinate me, so hired in a Kelly Girl (or some such temp) to do it!
Over 20 years later, after the firm had changed but remained much the same, I retired. The week before, the one remaining HR person in our division had left and had been replaced with a new hire. I had to tell him how to do his job. (It was fortunate that I’d researched everything to a T before quitting.)
