Years ago, my family was shopping at a comic shop. Another patron entered and began enthusing to the clerk about a comic with a woman in a bikini on the cover. The bikini was covered in flocking. After about 20 minutes of the other patron’s praise of the comic, the woman, and the bikini, he loudly asked for another copy of that comic because the bikini had worn off.

Involuntary response from me: wide-eyed look at my husband and saying, “Ewww! Pitiful!”
