I work in data, processing event bookings from supporters. I also answer help desk tickets from member of the front line support team. One ticket had this gem:
Coworker: someone contacted us saying they needed to correct the number of adults from 2 to 3, please amend.
He gave no other details, such as the important information of who the booking was regarding!
Me: please could you let me know the name of the person the booking is under
Coworker: I have lost the name
(Or most likely he never found it out in the first place)
Me and my team ended up searching through every booking that came in that day to find any with only two adults and sent the list to him to see if any names rang a bell. He never replied.
