Unfiltered Story #242607

(I am dressed professionally for a business meeting. One of my heels gives out and I go to a local store to grab a quick pair of flats and run. As I’m heading in the store there’s a male associate about my age on the ground. He looks up, does a double take, and lets out some sort of greeting. I respond and continue on my way. On the way out a few minutes later the same young man is talking to what seems like his friend. He notices me and gives a huge smile.)

Associate: Hi! I just wanted to say you look beautiful today!

Me: *smiling* Thank you! That’s very nice of you to say!

(I’m in a hurry so I keep walking. All of a sudden the friend bursts out laughing.)

Friend: Man, that was cold! You alright, man? Don’t worry, she’s just a b****.

(I had to rush out to my interview, but I still think about what I’d say to that man if I had the time.)
