My boyfriend (a diabetic) and I are on a date. We are more relax at home people so it’s special. Should be noted I have a tendency of saying whatever pops in my head to explain things.

Waiter: Can I get you guys something to drink?

Me: Can I have an unsweet peach tea? Unsweet tea with the regular peach syrup. Not the sugar free, otherwise it taste like diabeties.

My boyfriend just looks completely shocked

Me: oh my god I didn’t mean it like that. I meant it taste bad.

Boyfriend cocks his eyebrow

Me: not that you taste bad you taste fine…NOT LIKE THAT.

Waiter starts to shift uncomfortably

Me: I’m just going to stop talking.

Boyfriend just starts laughing. The waiter ended up telling another waiter who was also diabetic. So he came by and my boyfriend got another good laugh. He wasn’t actually offended and we had a really good night. I’m never living it down though.
