Unfiltered Story #240433

, | Unfiltered | July 26, 2021

I work at a beach restaurant that serves a fairly large menu with lots of appetizers, sandwiches, and entrees. People don’t order the entrees very much but this man was interested in one of our chicken dishes which is typically served with rice pilaf but customers can have another starch option if they would like.

Me: Would you like that with the rice pilaf? Or would you prefer a different side like fries or mashed potatoes?

Customer: What?

Me: I’m just tying to figure out what side you’d like.

Customer: It comes with rice pilaf!

Me: Right, I’m just making sure you didn’t want to substitute something else.

Customer: It says the entrees come with a salad and choice of potato.

Me: Yes, they do.

Customer: Do I get the rice pilaf and a potato?

Me: No, the rice is considered the potato option.

Customer: Okay well I want a salad!

Me: ….Okay so rice pilaf it is. What kind of dressing for your salad? *facepalms*
