Unfiltered Story #240022

, | Unfiltered | July 22, 2021

I work for a popular theme park company. So I work in retail at a park (cannot disclose). I was working in a ticket booth for a ride. I’m only a standard team member, but some guests who didn’t read the rules decided to refund their tickets. 6 of them. I go to call for a supervisor, because I can’t do returns. They were so rude, and asked me to open the cash drawer and just give them their money back. I said to them:

“Sorry, but I can’t do that for a few reasons. For one, it would make my till be under. And for two, I can’t open the drawer without supervisor or (other higher rank) approval. I’m sorry for the inconvenience.”

They start saying I’m lying. So I just turn around, pick up the phone, and cal for a supervisor.

What do they do when my Supe gets there? Start making up lies.

My supe knew me and knew I wouldn’t say the rude things I had been accused of.

He/she did the refund, and that was done.

My supe and I were laughing so hard as soon as the guests left.
