Using a 2-for-1 coupon at a coffee shop, the cashier looks at it for a long time like she has never seen a coupon before and finally tells me it is expired.
I point out the “valid until 12/30/2018” at the bottom, and she says “yes, expires in 2018”. I point out it expires in December of 2018. She says yes. I look at her for a while, then ask if she knows what month it is.
Apparently not, because at that point she had to go get someone else who then let me use the coupon without further delay.
