A few years ago, I was working at the cash register for my department, which was at the bottom of the escalator in the store. Once, a co-worker came down very shaken, saying she had just passed by a woman who was looking at dresses and skirts, standing very near the aisle. Co-worker was just going to go up to customer and offer to help, when she heard customer saying something like, “oh, this is so cute…”, and another completely different voice say, “you can’t wear that! you’d look like a tramp!” –something to that extent. But no one else was around. Customer was standing by herself, but co-worker said the other voice was so completely different, she almost looked around to see if there was a man with the woman, but where the woman was, there was no way anyone else could be there without being seen.
