This happens multiple times per week. In my hotel, the operator / answering system greet the guests in a fairly standard way.
Operator: “Thank you for calling [Hotel Name]. To reach a guest, press . . . ”
Then, it directs to me if the guest selects the Front Desk.
Me: “Good morning/afternoon/evening. Thank you for calling [Hotel Name], my name is [Name]. How can I help you?”
Caller: “Is this the [Other hotel]?”
