Note: I am the customer in this situation;

Customer: I’m glad I came by while the lobby was still open! I tried to deposit my check in the ATM and it wouldn’t accept the transfer for the third week in a row.
Teller: I’m sorry about that, sir. This is the first time anyone has told us. We’ll check in to it. Were you making a deposit today?
Customer: Okay, thank you.
Teller, making deposit and glancing at bank-issued credit card: And did you want to make a payment on your card today?
Customer: Hmm? Oh, no. I do that from my phone. I just had it with me for the ATM.
Teller: Do you use your credit card to access the ATM?
(Light dawns)
Customer: …no, I usually use the debit card. But lately I’ve been using the credit card without thinking about it! It’s been user error the whole time!
