Unfiltered Story #235244

After having brain surgery and spent 2 weeks in the hospital with pneumonia, I was being released. I had a spinal tap for 6 days and numerous physicians checking it over and over. On the final day, a nurse came in to remove the tap. My father is with me in the room keeping me company and we are all making small talk as she starts

Nurse: That’s a lovely tattoo you have on your back. What’s it mean?
Me: Tattoo? (I’m still heavily drugged)
Nurse: The one on your back?
Me: Uhhhh (My brain finally kicks in and I decide to see how far I can fake not actually having a tattoo.) I don’t know what you are talking about
Nurse: You have a design on your back of some sort
Me: I didn’t come in here with a tattoo, I don’t know what you are talking about
Nurse looks at my dad to confirm and he is busting out laughing.
Nice to know that even after being on heavy narcotics for weeks, I can still be a smart ass.
