I used to work in a sandwich shop where customers chose their fillings and sauces and we made it up for them.

Customer: What fillings do you have with no dairy or egg? I’m a vegan.

Me: We have falafel or hummus.

Customer: I’ll get falafel. What sauces do you do? I don’t eat egg or dairy. I’m a vegan.

Me: No problem, we have a list right here of vegetarian and vegan sauces.

Customer: OK, so I can have (points) this one? It’s vegan?

Me: Yep! Anything else for you?

Customer: Yes, could I get some cheese on it?

Me: You’d like…cheese on it? Regular cheese?

Customer: Yes.

Me: … Sure.

(He got his sandwich and walked off happy. I guess he was a vegan with an exception.)
