Unfiltered Story #234080

, | Unfiltered | May 11, 2021

I work as a hostess in a restaurant that’s also part of a car shop and as such is a large, diner-esque kinda place. Yesterday an older gentleman came in with his friend and requested a “quiet table” but since our restaurant is loud and echoey everywhere I told him there wasn’t a super quiet table and maybe the lounge, furthest from the kitchen, might be the quietest. He proceeded to snarl that that was the loudest part of the restaurant and that clearly I was new. (I am not new) He apparently was so incensed by my trying to help him find the quietest place to sit that he wrote a comment card saying the greeter (it’s called a hostess you dillweed) should never argue with a customer about tables. Later that same day I had another gentleman that was old enough to be my grandfather ask if I wanted to marry him. Hard pass.
