This happened to my sister while she taking care of an incredibly rude customer.
Customer: God, they must have a requirement for low IQs to work here or something.
Sister: I’m sorry but I am trying my best and it is quite busy. *She then notices a company logo on his shirt.*
Sister: Do you work for (local company)?
Customer: Yes, why?
Sister: I know someone who works there. What’s your name so I can see if they know you.
Customer: It’s (name). And who do you know that works there?
Sister: Oh, just (vice-president’s name). Yeah, we’re really good family friends and her kids are like siblings to me. I’m also pretty good friends with the current president’s kids but I haven’t seen them since we went off to college. We pretty much hang around the entire family who own the business. I’ll make sure to pass along your name and let them know you said hi.
Customer: *Pales and leaves as fast as he can after he gets his food*
