Unfiltered Story #231052

(This always happens. At the interview, I am asked this question:)

Manager: “And how are you during periods of high stress?”

Me: “I’m calm and just pushing through.”

Manager: “Good, we need people who don’t panic and rise up even when customers are yelling.”

(I’m hired, and soon a high volume amount of customers comes. I’m patiently dealing with each one, one at a time, not rising even when they yell. Suddenly a customer gets angrier and angrier and demands a manager.)

Customer: *to manager* “This girl is just acting like she doesn’t care! Look at her face! Completely blank!”

(And then I get into trouble. I’ve been looking for jobs that have no or little customers, but it’s hard because everyone wants it.)
