Me: “Thanks for calling *Dr Office* how may I help you today?”
Caller: “Oh, I wanted to see the Dr today, do you have any appointments available?”
Me: “I’m very sorry, but the Dr isn’t available today. I can schedule you later this week?”
Caller: “No! I need to be seen today!”
Me: “If you need to be seen today then *office at another building across town* may be able to squeeze you in to see someone. Do you want their phone number?”
Caller: “No. Cant you just transfer me?”
Me: *frantically tries to think of a response on why that isnt possible without it sounding rude* “I’m sorry that isn’t possible, you’ll need to call them. They are not affiliated with our location.”
Caller: “You’re not helping at all!” **click**
