Unfiltered Story #222184

This is a conversation I’ve had with multiple customers, who always insist that they are right and I am wrong. The most recent was just a couple of days ago. I see a customer looking through our yarn section and ask if they need help.

Customer “Yes, I am looking for this yarn, I need more of it” *holds up a yarn wrapper.

Me “Sorry we don’t have that yarn here, that’s (Competitor’s) own brand”

Customer “I only EVER buy my yarn from here, you have to have it here”

Me “I’m sorry but (brand name) is (Competitor’s) own brand, it’s the only place you can buy it”.

Customer *glaring at me “I told you I only buy my yarn from here, where do you keep it?”

Me “I don’t know what else to tell you, it’s not our brand, it’s (Competitor’s) brand. Now if you’ll excuse me I am being called to the counter”

Customer “Well where is (Competitor) anyway?”

Me ” They are in (location 15 minutes) away, excuse me I have to go”

Customer *yelling after me “I TOLD YOU I DON’T SHOP THERE BECAUSE I WOULD NEVER GO THAT FAR”.
