So I work at a protective footwear and work clothing store. We occasionally get the odd group of Hutterites coming in from their colonies out of town looking to get a good deal on used or exchanged boots. This story takes the cake.

Hutt: OK, so I need new boots…. But I actually only need the left one. Any chance you could sell me only a left boot at half price?

Me: No, I can’t do that.

Hutt: Why not? That’s a good deal!

Me: I can sell you a left boot at full retail price and you’ll get the right boot included for free. The product is made and sold in pairs.

Hutt: Well what if I contact the manufacturer? Will they do it for me?

Me: NO! THEY ARE MADE AND SOLD IN PAIRS!!!

Needless to say…. He went back to his colony with nothing.
