Unfiltered Story #222114
During transactions at our store, we are required to ask customers for their email addresses. I don’t particularly like asking for that information, but I do so because it is company policy.
On this particular evening, my manager (in her earlier twenties) and I (in my late twenties) are ringing customers out during a rush when a woman in her early forties approaches my register. The transaction proceeds normally, then this happens:
Me: “Email address?”
Customer: “Sure. F-U-C-K-Y-O-U-B-I-T-C-H.”
Me: *types several letters, then backspaces when she spells out “bitch”*
Customer: “…That’s just my email address.”
Me: *ignores her and rings her out*
My manager and I were so stunned that we had no idea how to call her out at the time, but we had a good laugh about the incident later.
