Unfiltered Story #221346

I’m a woman in her late thirties and I work in the motor industry – a job I’ve done pretty much all my working life. Part of my current job is to check customers’ tyre pressures on demand; it’s free and a service we provide to anyone who asks. An older man comes in to have his pressures done and I duly check them round and make polite conversation. As I’m putting the air line away the customer approaches one of my male colleagues:

Customer to male colleague: “Could you recheck them, I’m not sure if she knows what she’s doing”
Male colleague: *absolutely speechless*

He’s been in several times since but I never bother to go and help him now because obviously I have no idea how to use a pressure gauge!
