Unfiltered Story #221293
A few years ago I used to work as a sales assistant in a major newsagent in the city centre. Part of my job was to work as a cashier on the tills. During an extremely busy Saturday afternoon shift, a man I don’t recognise as a regular comes to my till carrying some magazines.
Me: “good afternoon, would you like a bag today?”
Customer: “I don’t want any of your bags, your bags make customer’s hands fall off!”
Me: “oh really… well I can give you this type of bag instead (shows bag) and they’re very easy to hold”
Customer: “oh that’s okay then… you know I don’t want a hook for a hand… the other bags do that”
He then paid and left but I’ve never understood what problem he had with our bags or how he thought a 16 year old could help him!
