My husband and I are both involved as volunteers with our local symphony festival, known by the acronym PRISMA. As we also own a business that’s open seven days a week, it makes for some tricky scheduling. A couple comes in one afternoon and, after browsing for a bit, the wife comes up to my desk and asks how late we’re open.
Me: We’re usually open until 5:30 but I’m closing at 5:00 today to get ready for PRISMA.
The customer gives me a very confused look.
Customer: Christmas? But….it’s only June!
