(My mom and grandmother are the silly customers in this story. They’ve taken my grandmother’s laptop to a tech store because the charger isn’t working.)

Mom: “We’ve had it plugged in all night and it still hasn’t turned on. I think the charger is broken.”

Employee: “Let me see the charger.”

(My grandmother hands it over.)

Grandmother: “We know it’s not the outlet, we tried three different ones.”

Employee. “Ma’am, this is a cell phone charger. Not a laptop charger.”

(Indeed it was. Grandma bought a new charger.)
