Unfiltered Story #217671

I stopped to buy some snacks before driving to an event. The line is unusually long, and the elderly man behind me strikes up a conversation. I am a female, as was the gas station attendant/cashier. When it is my turn, the cashier explains she is new and that the item scanner does not seem to be working well for her. I patiently wait as she keeps trying, and succeeds to ring up my items.

Old man: “Girls can’t shoot!” (He chuckles to himself.)

I was at a loss for words to retort back at him. Either the cashier did not hear his comment or chose to ignore it, hopefully the former.
