On a cruise ship with friends we went into one of the bars and ordered cocktails.

Me *to waiter “May I have a Mojito please, could I have it half strength?”

Waiter “What is half strength?”

Me “Half the alcohol”

Waiter “I don’t understand”

Me “Can it be made with less alcohol than usual, like half a nip instead of a full nip?”

Waiter ” I don’t understand…you want less alcohol?” *finally it clicks “Oh sorry, you took me by surprise there, I’ve never had anyone ask for less alcohol before, they always want more.”
