(At the point of this story my mom has had three kids, all boys, and is in labor with me. Its important to note that my mother looks almost identical to my grandmother when she was my mom’s age. I was the only planned child my mom had, and they didnt know I was a girl until I was born. My dad was in the room and saw right away that I was a girl, and my parents love to joke about his first words, which also told my mom I was a girl.)

Dad: Holy C**p she looks like your mother.

(My mom always says she only heard the “she” part because that’s all she needed to know. We tell this story almost every year on my and my dads birthday.)
