I’m a legal assistant in a rural county state’s attorney’s office. I’ve been on the phone with personnel at the area Juvenile Detention Center (JDC) several times throughout the day–they call us, we call them, playing phone tag while trying to set up a 3-way conference call.

I dial their office number. Clearly, they have Caller ID…

JDC Worker: Juvenile State’s Attorney!”

She immediately catches what she says, and we both laugh.

Me: Sometimes they ARE juvenile State’s Attorneys!
