Unfiltered Story #211827

My friend works in a pub. It is closing time and he has just called “time”, when a middle aged couple walk in. Note: at the time all pubs in the UK had to stop serving alcohol at 11pm.

Friend: Hi there, sorry but I’ve just called “time” as we’re closed.

Woman: I want [drink] and [drink].

Friend: I’m sorry but we’re closed. It’s past 11pm, it’s illegal for me to serve drinks.

Woman: WHAT? This is disgraceful! You’ve just lost a customer and I’m never coming here again!

She storms out, followed by her husband who just gives a “I’m so sorry about her” smile to my friend.
