(The store I work at allows customers to do their grocery shopping online. Customers often ask me about this service, and I don’t mind answering their questions. This happens when I am putting an order away.)
Customer: Do a lot of people use this service?
Me: Oh yes.
Customer: I see… Did you know that (competitor) is now offering Amazon shopping?
Me: No?
(The customer pulls up an add on his phone for Amazon lockers at the competitor’s locations. It’s not quite the same thing as our service.)
Customer: See?
Me: I see… (grabs pamphlet from the front of the locker and gives it to the customer) Well, here is some more information about our service.
Customer: Oh okay. (leaves)
