I work at a call center in the household small appliance warranty department. This call is regarding a pour over style coffee brewer.
Customer: My warmer plate isn’t coming on and I just bought this in December.
Me: Did you check the switch on the side? (the power switch)
Customer: Yes.
Me: Can you see the red part of the switch?
Customer: No, because it’s not working.
Me: That switch doesn’t light up, can you see the red part of the switch?
Customer: Let me go check.
Customer: No.
Me: Can you turn it to red and check the warmer light please?
Customer: It came on.
Me: Okay, you will want to wait 15 min for the water to heat up and you’re good to go.
Customer: What causes this?! (pissy tone)
Me: Turning the power switch off.
Customer: …
Me: have a nice day!
