(I’m the receptionist at a well-known tax preparation office. The following exchange occurs between a customer who has an appointment with us):
Client: “Hi I have a 5:00 appointment with [Tax Preparer].”
Me: “No problem, she will be with you shortly.”
Client: “Okay, and by the way, if anyone comes in here looking for me or asking for me, I’m not here. Okay?”
Me: “Ooooooookay.”
