Unfiltered Story #209755
(I’m a customer in this story shopping in my local convenience store. I have a jacket on over a t-shirt and a basket on my arm with the convenience items I’m buying; shampoo, soap, etc. A woman approaches me.)
Woman: Excuse me?
Me: Yes?
(I think I’m sometimes polite to a fault in these kinds of situations, but I’ve been working in retail a long time.)
Woman: Where are the vitamins?
Me: (gesturing to my jacket and basket) Oh, sorry, I don’t work here.
Woman: Oh, sorry… but do you know where they are?
Me: No. (I have what I call “retail face.”)
