I worked at a restaurant where we take the order before they sit down. I was working the counter when an older gentleman came to eat. We ordered his food and he payed with a card which we have the sign a receipt if they do so..

Me: Can I just have you sign this copy please.

Him: (Takes a pen out of his shirt pocket and signs and then set the pen down on the counter.)

Me: Thank you and I give him his copy.

*he goes to walk away

Me: Don’t forget your pen.

Him: (Picks up then pen and looks at me and says) This isn’t my pen and chucks it at my face.

I was in shock that I didn’t even know what to do. I just looked at him walk away and just went into the back and did silverware with my coworker.
