Unfiltered Story #207186

I’m the dumb customer in this one. My bank has only recently issued me a debit card with a chip, so I haven’t really adjusted to chip readers, combined with the fact that not every place in my city I frequent has chip readers yet. I go to make my purchase.
Cashier: So if you’ll just insert your card-
Me: *immediately swipes card*
I glance down, and sure enough, there is a BRIGHT YELLOW sign right on the card reader stating “Please insert chip card. Do not swipe.”
The worst part? I did it again the next month at the same store. Wonder how long they’ll have to keep that sign up.
