Unfiltered Story #204361

(I am a security guard at a mall which has several businesses, including a bank. I have had this exact conversation four times in half an hour.)

Customer: *Walks in and pulls on bank’s locked door*

Me: “Sorry, they’re closed for Martin Luther King Day”

Customer: “Are they closed?”

Me: “Yes. It’s Martin Luther King Day, all banks are closed.”

Customer: “Why are they closed?”

Me: “Because it’s Martin Luther King Day. It’s a federal holiday, all banks and government buildings are closed.”

Customer: “What about [Different branch of same bank a few blocks away]?”

Me: “They’ll be closed too.”
