Unfiltered Story #203740
I work in a popular coffee chain that has unusual size names. Customers frequently ask for their coffees in a bigger sized cup so they have an inch or more room for cream without paying for the next size up, and it’s never a problem. I’m on drive through.
Customer: Can I get a tall coffee with an inch of cream?
Me: Sure! If you’d like I can ring you up for a short coffee in a tall cup with extra cream! It would save you *X amount* that way.
Customer: What? No I want tall coffee.
Me: *briefly explains again that she’d be getting the same amount of coffee for less money*
Customer: I just want a TALL COFFEE!
Me: Okay no problem! That’ll be *more expensive amount*! Please pull forward!
That was the last time I tried to save ANY customer money.
