The company I work for was recently running a promo online of buy 2 get 1 free on select items. Basically you had to buy 3 different qualifying items and the system would automatically zero out the cheapest item. Since it was the holiday season, I was helping our CS Department respond to emails when I came across this one
“Your web page said that if I
buy two items I’d get a third for free.
Since I just bought two [of these items}
please make sure that the third one is
included in my package.”

I really wanted to respond -it doesn’t work like that. You actually HAVE to choose all three qualifying items.
