Unfiltered Story #201354

(It’s the day before Thanksgiving, so people are stocking up on food items. A customer with a lot of food comes to my lane.)
Me: Did you find everything okay?
Customer: Everything except for hummus. You didn’t have any.
Me: Were you looking for (Brand)?
Customer: Yes.
Me: There’s a huge recall on their hummus. No one is selling any right now.
Customer: Really?
Me: Yes. They found some sort of chemical in the hummus I think. Some of their other products are okay, but I don’t remember which ones exactly. But we have some (Store) brand hummus.
Customer: That’s okay.
(I was left wondering how he wasn’t aware of the recall. It was all over the news recently, and on social media.)
