Unfiltered Story #200741

When we only have one employee in the shop, the doors remain locked and customers have to ring a buzzer to be let in. The way the front door is, my work station is easily visible from the outside.

I’m working on a piece, through a magnifying glass with a mini torch in hand when I hear the buzzer ring. Through the door, the customer waves at me, I smile and motion to give me a moment. I wrap what I am doing, , stand, taking off the apron and key in the code to open the door.

The customer steps inside, looks around, then turns to me and says “do you work here?”
