Unfiltered Story #199889

, , | Unfiltered | July 4, 2020

I had worked at this Subway for over a year and the manager for a few years, as it was relatively new. We learned to type everything quickly into the computer when we’re busy and, obviously, occasionally there’s mistakes. One of these mistakes did not go unnoticed and the customer started yelling at us, while we were fixing the problem right before his eyes, exclaiming that we wanted to steal the $3 from the overcharge we hadn’t actually charged yet. His son, about 9 years old, was on the verge of tears, asking him to calm down and clearly embarrassed. This didn’t stop him, and he continued yelling all the way out the door. I wasn’t so much upset at the yelling as I was him practically making his son cry from embarrassment.
