Unfiltered Story #197467

(I am another customer waiting for a table of a restaurant during the dinner rush, with at least a 30-45 minute wait. A party of six people comes to the hostess’s table, a family, with one grandfather looking to be the head. He is the one that speaks to the hostess.)

Customer: Table for six.
Hostess: Okay, just so you know, we are quite busy right now, and there’s a 30 to 45 minute wait for a table. May I have your name?
Customer: I don’t think you heard me. Table for six.
Hostess: Yes, and the wait is 30 to 45 minutes. Is that okay?

The man walked off to the side grumbling about the wait. My dad and I just looked at each other since we also were in the queue with a smaller party.
