When the door was installed in our bakery, they did it backwards. Essentially you have to pull on the push bar and vice versa. It gets confusing very quickly, but we have signs very clearly pointing out that you have to PULL the door, just under the open sign.
A lady walks up to the door and pushes the door as hard as she can, probably a few times before I was able to open if for her.
Lady: …oh, you were closed?
