(I work at a Deli kitchen at a grocery store. Here we have various cheeses, except American or Mozzarella.)
Customer: *leans over the counter at me and my coworker* Now I know you have it, I want 1/2 pound of White American cheese.
Me: I’m sorry sir, we do not have American cheese here, but it is available in Aisle 1.
Customer: The other deli I go to has American cheese.
Me: *In a stern voice* We are not that deli. Go to Aisle 1 for American cheese.
(Customer realizes intimidation wasn’t working, so walks to aisle 1.)
Coworker: Why was he so intent over cheese?
Me: *with a smirk* He took the wrong left to Albuquerque to get it at the other Deli.
