Unfiltered Story #191927

(I work at my father’s shoe store. A woman walks up to the counter.)

Me: “Hello ma’am, and welcome to [Shoe Store]! What can I do for you today?

Customer: “I would like to buy some shoes.”

(The whole process goes normally, with her trying on shoes and selecting a pair, until this happens at the register…)

Customer: “Oh, and I’m the owner’s sister, so I get these for free.” *gestures at the shoebox*

Me: “Oh, I’m sorry ma’am, but I don’t think you’re related to the owner.”

Customer: “What do you know you upstart little b****? I bet you don’t even know the owner, and you’re just some f***ing lowlife teen who doesn’t know anything about retail. Don’t insult me like that!”

(She goes off on a long profanity filled string, cursing me out for not knowing who she was, and how the owner would be so disappointed to hear about his sister being treated this way. Finally she stops.)

Customer: “WELL? WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY FOR YOURSELF?!?!?!”

Me: “Well, to be honest ma’am, I thought I only had uncles!”

(The woman goes bright red and dashes out of the store, leaving her shoes behind. She hasn’t been back!)
