I like to have a laugh with customers when I can as it helps the day pass more quickly and it’s nice if they get a laugh out of it too. This is one I’d been wondering about trying for a while.
Me: Do you need a bag?
Customer: Yeah, why not.
Me: Well sir, because you’re destroying the environment and raping the natural world.
Customer: (Thinks about it) Well I already drive a big car so this doesn’t make much difference.
I love my job!
