Unfiltered Story #18647

Unfiltered | May 15, 2017

A few weeks ago, I was getting ready to leave for my college class when I hear the doorbell ring. It was my father, and he told me that my grandmother had very sick in the hospital for two weeks and died that morning. Somehow I’m able to stay together long enough to get to the student union, and I end up sitting at a table with my head in my hands.

I don’t know how long I stayed that way, but I hear a voice saying, “Hey, are you okay?” I look up and see a woman in scrubs giving me a worried look. She asks me again if I’m okay, and I told her what happened. She hugs me tightly and asked if there was anything she could do to help, including giving me her mobile number. I decline, because she’s made me feel so much better anyway, and she goes walks away. I can’t express how grateful I am to this woman. If you’re reading this, thank you again!
